The Full Story

PG and VG liquid

Vegetable glycerin (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) are two types of liquids commonly used in food and other products.

VG is a thick, sweet liquid derived from plant oils, and it helps create a smooth texture and adds sweetness to syrups and other foods.

PG, on the other hand, is a thinner liquid that acts as a flavor carrier, enhancing the taste of food and drinks without adding much sweetness. Both VG and PG are safe for consumption and are often used together to create the perfect balance of flavor and texture in various culinary applications.

In our syrup

Propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) are essential ingredients in syrup formulations due to their unique properties. PG acts as a flavor carrier, enhancing the taste and aroma of the syrup while also providing a smooth texture. VG, on the other hand, contributes to the syrup's sweetness and thickness, creating a rich mouthfeel that complements a variety of culinary applications. Together, these ingredients ensure that the syrup not only tastes great but also has a pleasing consistency, making it ideal for use in beverages, desserts, and more.

PG and VG safety

Propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) are widely recognized for their safety when heated, making them popular choices in various culinary applications, including syrups and baking. Both substances have a high boiling point and stability at elevated temperatures, which allows them to retain their integrity and flavor without breaking down or producing harmful byproducts. PG is commonly used in food products and pharmaceuticals, while VG is often found in food items and is known for its non-toxic properties. When used according to recommended guidelines, heating PG and VG in cooking or baking not only enhances flavor but also provides a safe and enjoyable experience, allowing for creative culinary exploration without compromising safety.
